Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising employees, staffing, inventory, and receiving. This role involves developing an external candidate for future Store Manager duties and is limited to a defined period.

Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring safe, well-stocked stores with strong customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Assists in inventory control, stock receiving and pricing.
• Supervise store operations in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure cash handling and security procedures.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service leadership.
