Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA is seeking a Store Manager to lead a high-volume retail operation. You will direct the daily workflow of receiving, sorting, pricing, merchandising, and selling donated goods, while driving revenue and controlling costs.

You will hire, coach, train, and develop store staff, ensure safety and compliance, and manage schedules, cash handling, and end-of-day reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ experience in retail management.
• High School diploma or GED required; some college or leadership training preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel; familiarity with Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate store employees to meet production guidelines (e.g., 110 garments per hour with 90% quality).
• Oversee daily flow of merchandise to the sales floor and manage pricing, displays, and receiving.
• Staff the store with hiring, coaching, training, and development of the team; conduct daily interviews and paperwork.
• Balance cash registers, review profit and loss statements, and perform end-of-day procedures including audits.
