Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in New Orleans is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and drive sales while ensuring compliance with safety and loss-prevention standards.

You will hire, coach, train, and schedule employees, manage cash and invoices, coordinate donations and merchandising, and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment focused on outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years in management experience.
• Five years in retail management preferred.
• Experience leading teams in retail, production, manufacturing, or assembly preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass MVR check.
• Valid driver’s license, liability insurance, vehicle registration and current inspection.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Power BI, and other programs.
• Read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate store employees to reach production guidelines (110 garments/hour, 90% quality).
• Ensure constant merchandise flow to the sales floor daily.
• Staff the store by hiring, coaching, training, developing, and leading the store team.
• Conduct daily interviews and source applicants, handling new hire paperwork.
• Hold staff accountable through coaching, discipline, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure safety compliance, drills, incident reports, and building maintenance as needed.
• Lead receiving, pricing, and displaying of store merchandise.
• Open/close store; balance cash, review P&L, and perform end-of-day procedures.
