Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support daily store operations, staff supervision and inventory control in a dynamic retail environment in Boone, NC. Qualifications

• Knowledge of reading diagrams, safety rules and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add/subtract/multiply/divide/percent).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies (deposits, keys, safety programs).
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and staging, stocking and pricing.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and preparing inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Follow company procedures and policies.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of funds and cash control.
