Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in overseeing staff, inventory control, merchandising, and store operations. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited in duration.

You will assist with recruiting, stock management, cashier controls, adherence to policies, opening/closing, and maintaining a safe, well-stocked store while delivering strong customer service leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, and train staff while following legal guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising, staging, stocking, and pricing according to store direction.
• Participate in inventory management, including damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and model company policies.
