Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets diagrams, safety rules and procedures manuals.
• Performs basic math calculations including percentages.
• Understands cash handling, deposits and cashier accountability.
• Familiar with IBM cash register functions and reporting.
• Knows inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Aware of cash, safety and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with merchandising, staging and pricing according to store direction.
• Support inventory management, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Model company policies and SOPs.
• Participate in opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of funds and cash controls.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in manager’s absence.
• Review sales, labor and inventory reports for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all required paperwork on time.
