Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop leadership skills through hands-on assignments and structured learning. You will work under the Store Manager to lead by example, focus on customer service, and gain deep exposure to daily store operations.

Progression to a Retail Store Manager is based on performance within 8–12 weeks. Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in retail supervisory roles, are bilingual in Spanish and English, and can handle a full-time flexible schedule

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible, full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a high-performing store team.
• Maintain clear communication with staff and customers to drive execution.
• Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L to optimize profitability.
• Support store operations and ensure policy adherence.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training of employees.
• Lead customer service activities and resolve issues proactively.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, merchandising and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn key store operations.
