Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to prepare for a Retail Store Management role. You will engage in leadership development, live The Pledge, and deliver WOW! service while learning store operations and profitability.

Within 8–12 weeks you may progress into management based on performance. The role covers staffing, training, and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual Spanish and English is a plus.
• Experience in automotive retail or analyzing financials is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing store team.
• Maintain clear communication with employees and customers.
• Learn to manage and analyze monthly P&L statements.
• Support store operations and ensure policy compliance.
• Assist with staffing, mentoring and training of employees.
• Oversee customer service initiatives and resolve issues.
• Manage inventory, merchandising, and sales strategies.
• Complete management skills training and learn store operations.
