Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to join our Store Management team and prepare for promotion to Retail Store Management. You will engage in leadership training, customer service excellence, and hands-on operational assignments, with progression possible within 8-12 weeks based on performance and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year: 1-2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Flexible schedule: Full-time availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Leadership Development – Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and cultivate a high-performing store team.
• Communication Excellence – Maintain clear and effective communication with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance.
• Metrics Mindedness – Learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize store profitability.
• Structure & Process Orientation – Support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes.
• Teamwork & Training – Assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong team.
• Customer Service Leadership – Take charge of customer service activities and resolve concerns proactively.
• Inventory & Sales Management – Oversee inventory accuracy and sales strategies to maximize success.
• Operations Training – Complete management skills training and learn key aspects of store operations and AutoZone culture.
