Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, and store operations. You will lead the team during the Store Manager’s absence and oversee customer service on the showroom floor.

Qualifications

• Must have Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
• Certified Parts Professional and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Help ensure adequate staffing at the sales counter during peak hours (lunch, late afternoon, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager with setting team goals, coaching, and ensuring training is current.
• Participate in hiring tasks: schedule and conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and collaborate on selections.
• Ensure phone calls are answered per policy and processes for buy online/ship to store, transfers, and add orders are timely.
• Manage outside orders and purchases, and ensure efficient handling of returns and refunds.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and that all security/operational duties are followed.
