Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Stamford, TX to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the team during the Store Manager’s absence and manage shift coverage while ensuring excellent service for retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training completed.
• Assistant Manager Certification required.
• RSS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team execution of service programs.
• Collaborate with the store manager to staff the retail sales counter during peak hours.
• Assist in setting team goals, provide feedback, coach and mentor teammates, and ensure training is up to date.
• Assist in the hiring process, including recruiting tasks and interviewing.
• Answer telephone in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders are processed promptly and customers are contacted on shipment arrivals.
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger for special orders and outside purchases.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedules and clock in/out as required.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, and manage bank deposits.
• Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
