Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. You will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and coach team members to meet goals.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and you will participate in hiring and staffing decisions. The compensation includes hourly pay between $17.81 and $24.40, plus annual bonuses and possible premiums based on schedule or performance.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training.
• Required: Assistant Manager Certification.
• Required: RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs.
• Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed during peak hours.
• Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, coaching, and ensuring training.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks and interviewing candidates.
• Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Handle buy-online/ship-to-store transfers and related orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Utilize electronic order ledger to manage special orders and outside purchases.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds, and stage merchandise correctly.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages, delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
• Ensure compliance with policies, posted schedules, and proper clock in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, money handling, deposits, and security checks.
• Assist in maintaining the store building and delivery vehicles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
