Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in West Springfield, MA to support daily store operations and lead the team. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain standards, and help hire and onboard staff.

The role requires 2–4 years in retail leadership, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights/weekends. You will coach employees, manage scheduling, and ensure customer-focused execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are met.
• Monitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
