Job summary

Boot Barn in Missoula, MT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, service and merchandising standards. The role partners with leadership to foster a customer-centric culture and to uphold the Boot Barn mission and values.

You will coach partners, manage schedules, train staff on policies, and collaborate to meet store goals while maintaining strong community ties and local marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2–4 years retail store management experience.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service and selling culture and exceed customer relationships.
• Coach on goals, provide feedback, and be present on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Develop training plans to improve store performance and advance team members.
• Collaborate on scheduling, hiring, and policy communication with leadership.
• Plan and execute community events to drive volume and engagement.
• Drive loyalty program engagement and achieve team goals.
• Maintain stock, merchandising, and signing per guidelines.
• Manage markdowns, receipts, and inventory levels with the team.
