Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team focused on customer service, sales goals, and community engagement. You will mentor partners, oversee merchandising standards, and drive store performance with the leadership team.

You will coach, train, and develop staff, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales team and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience with merchandising standards and inventory control.
• Ability to collaborate with Store Manager and district teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service and selling culture and exceed expectations; build long-standing customer relationships.
• Coaching; provide feedback; be present on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Develop training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and policies; train staff on new procedures.
• Assess and communicate local customer needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute events to engage the local community and market.
• Drive customer engagement through Boot Barn Loyalty programs and track goals.
• Maintain stock levels, displays and signing to meet customer needs and company standards.
• Oversee markdowns and timely product receipts; support shrink plans with the team.
• Maintain knowledge across product categories and train partners accordingly.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and comply with Time and Attendance policies.
• Adhere to laws and company policies; demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.
• Additional duties as assigned by District Manager or Store Support Center.
