Job summary

Boot Barn is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Mesa, AZ to partner with the Store Manager and District Manager to drive sales, customer service excellence, and merchandising standards. You will lead and develop partners, manage operations, and execute store initiatives with a focus on growth and community engagement.

The role requires managing schedules, coaching staff, and ensuring adherence to policies while fostering a positive, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication, customer service, and leadership abilities
• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, provide coaching and recognition of excellence; be present on sales floor during peak hours.
• Develop training plans to improve store performance across operations and merchandising; mentor team members for career growth.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs; adjust schedules, hire and train staff, communicate with District/Region partners.
• Plan and execute community outreach events and drive store volume.
• Lead and coach associates in customer engagement through loyalty programs and achieve team goals.
