Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service excellence, and manage staffing, hiring, and promotional decisions to meet sales goals.

Emphasis on safety, training, and maintaining store standards. You will lead with a focus on service quality, product presentation, and teamwork, while ensuring a positive company image and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas, customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, resolve conflict, manage multiple tasks, analyze financial data and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentors and coaches team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning.
• Document disciplinary actions and discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, sales targets and shrink control.
• Maintain store appearance and uphold Meijer standards.
• Deliver exceptional, fast, friendly service and training across the team.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
