Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise daily operations across store departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive customer service excellence, and implement strategies to improve sales while meeting customer needs efficiently.

Responsibilities include staffing, training, and promotion decisions, along with ensuring safe operations and adherence to Meijer standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Responsible for staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Ensure team is trained and meets required training.
