Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations and drive sales while maintaining safety and compliance. You will lead a ten-person management team, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

The role requires P&L stewardship, strong communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. A Food Safety certification and proficiency with MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience.
• Experience leading perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, staffing, training, and merchandising.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and solution-focused.

Responsibilities

• ModelSprouts values to shape store culture.
• Develop store leadership to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (Department Managers and Receivers).
• Motivate and develop management, embracing Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Ensure safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards are met.
• Oversee inventory, labor, and expenses to meet sales targets.
• Maintain compliance with safety and food safety requirements.
• Drive sales growth and store experience through Educate and Enrich standards.
• Oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendors; resolve discrepancies.
