Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct store operations, lead a ~10-person management team, and drive sales with a focus on customer service and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Proven success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, staffing, disciplinary actions, training, developing leaders, conducting performance appraisals, meeting deadlines, managing inventory and shrink, executing sales promotions, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, attention to detail, analytical, and solution-focused decisiveness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and human resources software.
• Flexible to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification.
• Able to lift 60 pounds; push and pull operations with significant force.
• Stand/walk for long periods; move items and operate equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the culture in the store by modeling the leadership behaviors aligned to Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional customer experience by motivating and engaging team members.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (all Department Managers and Receivers) with courtesy, respect, integrity, and care.
• Motivate and develop the management team by embracing, leading, advocating, and modeling Sprouts leadership behaviors.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and food safety recommendations and requirements, as measured through audits.
• P&L ownership - manage inventory, labor, and expenses at optimum levels and meet targets as a rate to sales.
• Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, unloading, stocking, and rotation; monitor code dates and sanitation.
• Oversee invoicing from distribution centers and vendors; report discrepancies as needed.
• Lead Receivers and backroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Grow sales and store experience through strong product knowledge and department schematics.
