Job summary

Lids in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations and sales at our store. You will guide staff on customer service excellence, merchandising, and loss prevention while maintaining company standards.

You will report to the Store Manager and play a key role in driving KPI targets, staff development, and ensuring an engaging shopping experience for fans of licensed sports gear.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales while controlling shrink
• Strong verbal communication and professional demeanor
• Capable of working without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc. when Store Manager is not present.
• Lead store associates through LIDS training programs, goal setting, and follow-up.
• Administer disciplinary steps with verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and uphold Brand Standards.
• Manage scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates for peaks when needed.
• Drive selling strategies to hit KPIs, sales targets, and exceptional customer service.
