Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our New York location. You will lead a high-energy team, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure operational excellence across merchandising, scheduling, and inventory.

You will train staff, maintain brand standards, manage cash controls, and drive sales while minimizing loss. This role offers growth within a dynamic national retailer.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to drive sales while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on Duty to cover scheduling and customer issues.
• Lead store associates through training programs and goal setting.
• Maintain discipline with verbal and written warnings.
• Create a fun, productive and respectful team environment.
• Adhere to brand standards and dress code.
• Schedule and staff the store, including peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel.
• Support cash handling, till opening/closing, and counterfeit protection.
• Prepare for inventory audits and support cycles.
• Open and close the store per SOP.
