Job summary

Target's Stores Executive Intern program is a paid 40 hr/week hands-on training track designed to develop and prepare you for store leadership, including the ETL role. You will work closely with managers and team members to learn how Target's retail business operates and how to excel in a management position.

You will be introduced to multiple areas of the store’s business, with the majority of time spent leading the team, driving guest service, and delivering on store priorities.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Leadership and teamwork skills required.
• Effective communication skills essential.
• Strong interest in retail management and leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily priorities on the sales floor to align the team with daily business priorities.
• Work with your ETL mentor and store leaders to understand roles and responsibilities.
• Lead through daily priorities: stocking shelves, maintaining safe, welcoming environment, and merchandising.
• Provide coaching and timely feedback to team members to improve performance.
• Participate in internship training activities and development opportunities.
• Plan daily goals and communicate results and priorities with leadership.
