Job summary

Target offers a paid Stores Executive Internship designed to prepare you for store leadership. You will work a 40-hour week under an Executive Team Lead mentor, gaining hands-on experience in guest service, merchandising, and team leadership within a Target store.

You will lead daily priorities, participate in leadership huddles, and receive ongoing development while contributing to store performance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in working in retail management.
• Leadership skills and team-oriented thinking.
• Flexible work schedule with nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the sales floor and backroom leading team members and aligning on daily priorities.
• Work with the ETL mentor and store leaders to understand roles.
• Lead through daily priorities such as stocking shelves and maintaining a welcoming store.
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.
• Address concerns and remove hurdles to smooth operations.
• Lead and present at daily huddles with leadership peers.
• Plan daily goals and organize action plans within the building.
• Ensure excellent guest experience and drive store priorities.
