Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Crescent, Oregon to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving. The role develops internal candidates for the Store Manager position over a limited period, aligning with store needs and policies.

Responsibilities include assisting in recruiting, merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, and ensuring a safe, well-organized store environment while maintaining LINKS to company

Qualifications

• Reading diagrams, safety rules and procedures manuals.
• Perform basic math calculations and percentages.
• Understand cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.
• Learn IBM cash register functions to generate reports.
• Know inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Understand deposits, keys, safety and cash control policies.

Responsabilités

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and pricing according to standards.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store presence.
• Follow procedures in the employee handbook and SOPs.
• Participate in opening and closing store activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of company funds and cash controls.
• Assist with financial integrity and security practices.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and safe environment.
• Operate store in the store manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork and documentation per guidelines.
