Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, including supervision, staffing, inventory, merchandising, and cashier controls. This role serves as a developmental path for future Store Manager duties.

The candidate will assist with opening/closing, merchandising presentation, in-stock targets, and ensuring safety and compliance. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving are essential as you collaborate across store teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at some locations.
• Knowledge of store operations and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stock organization.
• Assist in inventory management and store paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store safety.
• Operate store in manager's absence and review financials.
