Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate in Roseburg, Oregon to assist the Store Manager in staffing, merchandising, inventory, and daily operations. This role supports development for a future Store Manager and will handle store needs, cash controls, and customer service leadership.

Responsibilities include assisting with hiring, merchandising, inventory, and opening/closing duties while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiarity with deposits, store keys, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing according to established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and store controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and store supervision.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; perform opening/closing duties.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
