Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in supervising staff, stocking, inventory, and store operations. This role is a temporary development track designed to prepare external candidates for the Store Manager position.

You will assist with staffing, customer service leadership, merchandising, open/close procedures, cash controls, and reporting while maintaining a safe, clean store environment and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret safety and operating procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling tasks.
• Experience with inventory, merchandising and store security.
• Strong recruiting, interviewing and staff development capabilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Support store merchandising and stocking per standards.
• Help manage inventory, damages, markdowns and reporting.
• Assist with open/close procedures and cash controls.
• Provide customer service leadership and safe, clean store upkeep.
