Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in supervising employees, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, and store operations. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position and is limited to a finite period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and inventory management.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of all company funds.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
