Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Illinois to support store operations and drive sales growth. This role reports to the Store Manager and focuses on developing personnel, maintaining customer satisfaction, and upholding ALDI’s values and policies.

The position is full-time with average 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $26.50 per hour, increasing to $27.50 in Year 2. Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, merchandising, and ensuring adherence to cash

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment and prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns with the store manager.
• Leads and develops store personnel; communicates responsibilities and expectations.
• Develops and implements action plans to improve operating results and personnel development.
• Leads store tours during interview events and provides hiring recommendations.
• Trains and develops staff using company materials and ensures policy compliance.
• Manages scheduling, budget adherence, and daily store operations to maximize sales.
