ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day operations, supervise staff, manage schedules, and develop action plans to improve store performance.

Starting wage is $26 per hour with a $1 increase in year two; full-time position at about 38 hours per week, with competitive wages and benefits.

This role emphasizes training, customer service, and adherence to company policies while contributing to a positive store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure mutual understanding and desired results.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports to improve performance.
• Communicates and models company values to foster teamwork.
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs adjustments to maintain competitive position.
• Provides product feedback to leadership, including new items or discontinuations.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicates weekly information and milestones to the team.
• Ensures adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash control procedures.
• Resolves customer concerns in the leader's absence.
• Identifies hazards and ensures equipment is well-maintained.
• Maintains store cleanliness and signage.
• Maintains stock levels and merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Ensures product quality and accurate signage.
• Assists in payroll, shrink control, and training new employees.
• Supervises daily team operations and escalates issues when needed.
• Ensures timely completion of assigned tasks to deliver customer service.
• Complies with company policies and data security.
