Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in overall operations as the Manager on Duty.

You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, maintain a safe, clean, and engaging shopping environment, and ensure merchandise presentation meets company standards. You will lead front-end supervision, customer service, merchandising tasks, and loss prevention efforts while enforcing company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment while ensuring proper merchandise presentation.
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed to support store leadership.
• Maintain safety, loss prevention, and security procedures; respond to emergencies and alarms as required.
• Lead the Front End operations: cashier training, queue management, signage, and stock recovery.
• Coordinate store merchandising, back stock, and floor moves to meet company presentation guidelines.
