Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and assist in overall operations as part of Store Leadership. The role includes opening/closing responsibilities, supervising Associates, maintaining a clean, well-merchandised store, and executing company processes.

The Area Supervisor ensures safety, supports front-end operations, and drives loss prevention while maintaining a customer-friendly shopping environment and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and secure store environments, report unsafe conditions, and ensure alarms and security systems function properly.
• Deliver high level customer service, treat customers and associates with respect, and uphold company brand.
• Supervise front-end operations, train cashiers, manage break schedules, and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
• Oversee merchandise flow, stockroom organization, back stock security, and adherence to merchandising standards.
• Assist with store leadership duties and ensure loss prevention practices are followed.
