Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, including staffing, inventory management and customer service leadership. This role focuses on developing external candidates for the Store Manager position and will be held for a limited period while maintaining store performance and compliance with company policies.

The candidate will help with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring safety and merchandising standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year retail experience preferred for external candidates.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing of merchandise.
• Support inventory management, damages, markdowns and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and maintain store cleanliness.
