Job summary

Dollar General Store is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staff supervision, inventory, stocking and receiving, and adherence to company procedures. This role develops external candidates for eventual Store Manager positions and is limited in duration.

Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, merchandising, inventory control, cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring financial integrity and customer service leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise.
• Assist in inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
