Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, merchandising, and customer service. You will help ensure in‑stock levels, proper paperwork, and smooth store functioning while developing external candidates for future store leadership.

This role involves assisting with opening/closing duties, cash handling, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of leadership or managerial experience.
• 2+ years in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.
• Strong reading and math skills.

Responsabilités

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising by facilitating staging, stocking and pricing; ensuring displays meet standards.
• Assists in all aspects of inventory management including damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork and controls; helps conduct inventories.
• Follows prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in‑stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and communications.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures safe deposit of company funds in designated bank.
• Supports cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Maintains clean, well‑stocked stores and a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operates store in the manager's absence.
• Reviews operating statements for trends, expenses, shrink, and errors.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on time.
