Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in California is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee all store operations, drive sales, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will lead a ten-person team across departments, manage inventory and labor, and develop leaders through coaching, training, and performance reviews in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business/retail-related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience; or equivalent education/experience.
• Proven ability to lead both perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L, safety, staffing, and merchandising responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and analytical.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team of approximately ten Department Managers and Receivers.
• Oversee inventory, labor, and expenses to meet sales targets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards.
• Provide training, feedback, and performance coaching to leaders.
• Deliver excellent customer service and store execution.
