Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in the United States seeks an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations and drive sales while delivering superior customer service in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

You will lead a team of about ten, manage inventory and labor to target and sustain compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards. Growth opportunities and competitive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, staffing, discipline, training, performance appraisals, deadlines, inventory and shrink, promotions, merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail, analytical, and solution-focused decisiveness.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, bookkeeping/accounting, time and attendance, and HR software.
• Flexibility to work a schedule that changes based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Positively shape the culture in the store by modeling Sprouts values.
• Develop the store leadership team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people (Department Managers and Receivers) with courtesy and integrity.
• Oversee inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Maintain compliance with safety and food safety standards and audits.
• Drive sales growth and store experience through Educate and Enrich standards.
• Direct operations across all departments with strong leadership presence.
