Job summary

UDF is seeking an Assistant Manager in Bucyrus, OH to help deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience. You will supervise team members, manage daily store operations, and ensure excellent guest service while complying with laws and company policies.

The role requires handling transactions, maintaining store conditions, and assisting with shift leadership. The position is full-time, with potential 1st–3rd shifts and a pay range of $14.75–$16.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency sufficient to communicate with customers.
• Ability to operate POS terminal, gas console, and read price books.
• Ability to follow operating instructions for store equipment.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using available supplies.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, and make change.
• Ability to count, perform arithmetic and complete records.
• Ability to move merchandise from storage to displays/freezers.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as –30°F for at least 2 minutes.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as +33°F for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to lift at least 10 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
• Ability to lift an 8” x 10” x 10” package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.

Responsibilities

• Managing other Associates: coaching, training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates, and counseling/discipline input to Store Manager.
• Store Administration: ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, completing paperwork.
• Overall Guest Services: provide Hi Five Guest Experience, greet Guests warmly, ensure store is prepared and available.
• DipSide Guest Services: prepare shakes, malts, ice cream/cone/desserts and hand-packed containers.
• Efficient Operation of POS System and Gas Console: authorize and record transactions, handle cash and payments.
• Stocking Merchandise: keep shelves and freezers full and presentable; rotate stock and check dates.
• Security: monitor Guests, manage cash drops, follow tobacco/alcohol safety programs.
• Maintenance: keep store and lot clean and safe, monitor equipment temperatures.
• Reporting: timely completion of time records and Customer First Documents.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
