Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in State College, PA is seeking a Store Manager to lead a team and drive exceptional customer experiences. This role focuses on managerial leadership, workload planning, and KPI achievement while ensuring brand promises are delivered and company standards met.

You will hire, train, and coach Team Members, act as Manager on Duty, and coordinate with departments to maintain high store performance, safety, and compliance. Travel and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience
• 2+ years of experience supervising a diverse team
• Proven ability to lead and coach staff to deliver great customer experiences

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, including SOP compliance and company programs to ensure policy adherence and store results
• Deliver sales and KPI targets in line with annual objectives and coach the team to achieve them
• Lead the execution of our customer brand promises and implement shrink and safety programs
• Staff and develop Team Members, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning
• Maintain cross-training across store departments and serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed
