Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Team Leader to assist the Store Manager in guiding a large retail team and ensuring adherence to SOPs, company programs, and store standards.

You will model exceptional customer experience, coach staff, and manage MOD coverage, inventory control, and omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead store teams.
• Excellent customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure execution of store policies and standards.
• Model and coach customer experience behaviors and selling techniques.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Drive in-store programs and events (Loyalty, etc.).
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
