Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Manager at its Allentown-Phillipsburg, NJ location. You will lead a diverse team, drive KPI performance, and ensure superior customer experiences while upholding brand promises and company standards.

You’ll manage staffing, inventory, shrink, and safety programs, while acting as Manager on Duty and ensuring cross-training across departments including framing and production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail experience including inventory, merchandising, and customer service excellence.
• 2+ years supervising a diverse team with performance management.
• Ability to manage store operations and budgets.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the store, ensuring SOPs and company programs are followed and results achieved.
• Deliver sales and profit plans and KPIs in line with annual objectives; drive team performance.
• Lead the execution of our customer brand promises and service standards.
• Implement shrink and safety programs to meet goals.
• Set, prioritize and communicate goals; manage team and customer activities.
• Staff the store with qualified Team Members: hire, train, coach, and manage performance.
• Conduct talent development and succession planning within the team.
• Operate as Manager on Duty (MOD) and maintain cross-trained capability across departments.
• Maintain store knowledge including Custom Framing, production, and department operations.
