Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market seeks an Assistant Store Manager to direct store operations, lead a ~10 person team, and deliver sales growth with a focus on customer service. You will oversee perishable and non-perishable departments, ensure safety standards, and maintain inventory and staff performance in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 21+ years old, strong communication, and a track record in retail leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of retail experience; or equivalent education/experience mix.
• Proven track record leading both perishable and non‑perishable operations with P&L, safety, sanitation, staffing, and performance management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and solution-focused.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related software; ability to manage schedules and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately ten people across departments; mentor and develop leadership capabilities.
• Drive sales growth and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards; manage inventory and shrink.
• Oversee store operations in the absence of the Store Manager; communicate policy changes and new initiatives.
• Audit pricing, promotions, and product knowledge; resolve issues with urgency and accuracy.
