Job summary

PetSmart’s Store Leader oversees safety for people and pets, customer and pet parent experience, operational execution, financial results, and HR functions across the store. You will set direction on safety protocols, pet welfare, shrink management, and daily execution while modeling PetSmart values.

You will lead the team, drive staffing and scheduling, coach associates, and partner with the Store Leadership team to deliver exceptional service and strong store performance.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of retail leadership or customer‑focused experience.
• Full‑time availability; flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in computer applications; strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead staffing, recruitment, and scheduling; ensure optimal coverage.
• Coach and develop associates; conduct reviews and recognition; empower teams.
• Deliver store profitability by managing expenses and achieving P&L targets.
• Ensure store standards, policies, and procedures are followed; drive safe operations.
