Job summary

Carter's, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a welcoming team, greet customers, and guide them to the right baby and children’s apparel. You’ll train staff, drive sales, and maintain a safe, inclusive store environment with a strong customer focus.

You will collaborate with the Store Manager on staffing, merchandising, and KPI attainment, while fostering growth and delivering exceptional service across shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coach and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles and benefits.
• Foster an inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Coach others to meet service standards and KPIs.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing store team.
• Plan and analyze tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager on merchandising, promotions, and product placement.
• Support loss prevention and maintain operational controls.
