Job summary

Athleta is seeking an Assistant Manager in Alexandria, VA to set the tone for the store team and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales, develop talent, and execute the store strategy in collaboration with the General Manager.

You will lead and coach Leads, Experts, and Brand Associates, ensuring consistency in operations, performance metrics, and community engagement. The role requires strong communication and a passion for retail excellence.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support store sales strategies to drive results with a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility and implement action plans to maximize productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
• Represent the brand and stay informed about retail landscape and competition.
• Leverage omni-channel to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
