Job summary

Athleta is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead store operations, coach a high-performing team, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales through customer-centric strategies, merchandising, and talent development, while partnering with store leadership to execute the brand’s store strategy.

You will manage 1–3 years of retail leadership experience, collaborate with the General Manager, and mentor Leads, Experts and Brand Associates to achieve performance

Qualifications

• Must have retail management experience (1–3 years in leadership roles).
• Strong communication with customers and team to meet goals.
• Proven ability to coach and develop staff for performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with emphasis on delivering a best-in-class experience.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and profitability through customer focus and merchandising.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associates and Experts.
• Own assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure SOP execution.
• Represent the brand and understand competitive retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement and omni-channel experience.
• Ensure compliance standards are met.
