Job summary

Carter's, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager in Florida to lead a team and deliver a warm, inclusive shopping experience for growing families. You will coach staff, manage payroll and budgets, and drive KPI-based results while fostering a positive environment on the sales floor.

You’ll build talent, develop leaders, and ensure strong merchandising, customer engagement, and loyalty program adoption across the store.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of retail or related management experience leading direct reports.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and pulling.
• Stand or walk for extended periods; climb up and down a ladder.
• Availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays with at least two closing shifts weekly.

Responsibilities

• Build a talent pipeline through networking and recruiting; develop succession plans by training and developing your team.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment for employees to collaborate and recognize performance.
• Grow leaders through direction, delegation, and investing in their development.
• Create genuine customer focus on the sales floor by leading the Leader on Duty program.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and assist with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Build customer loyalty through coaching on loyalty program benefits.
• Execute merchandising and operations; manage payroll and budgets.
• Understand KPIs and identify behaviors to drive results; lead omnichannel experiences.
• Reduce loss through consistent customer service, education, and controls.
