Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and support operations as Manager on Duty. You will oversee Associates, ensure safe store conditions, and maintain merchandising standards to reflect company guidelines.

You will supervise daily activities, train staff on cash handling and front-end tasks, and uphold loss prevention practices in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment on the sales floor.
• Supervises Associates and ensures adherence to company processes.
• Opens and closes the Store and manages the Store when the Manager on Duty.
• Ensures proper merchandise presentation and a clean workspace at all times.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
