Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area, oversee daily operations, supervise Associates, and ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment. You will drive merchandise presentation, front-end efficiency, and adherence to company policies across shifts.

You will train staff, manage cashier performance, and support loss prevention initiatives while maintaining a strong customer service focus and a professional store appearance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation is to standard and store clean.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment.
• Lead front end operations and train cashiers.
• Control break schedules and payroll administration.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
• Contribute to loss prevention and compliance with company policies.
